Sergio’s illustrious legal career began in Scotland, where he originally qualified in 2005 after studying at the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow. He then expanded his qualifications by being admitted to the roll in England and Wales in 2009. His early career saw him working with Burness Paull LLP and Dickson Minto, specialising in corporate finance. His journey then led him to the City, where he honed his skills with a prestigious US law firm. Sergio’s extensive background encompasses public and private M&A and general Commercial Advisory work, making him a versatile and knowledgeable asset to our team.
With significant experience in the healthcare sector, Sergio served as General Counsel for a major business in the North West, supporting Tesco’s global opticians operation. His proficiency in buying and selling large retail chains in the healthcare sector is notable, having recently facilitated the sale of a European chain to a Slovakian private equity operator. Sergio also spent considerable time as Senior Commercial Legal Advisor for an institutional healthcare company, providing commercial advice across its broader business.
Sergio’s expertise is truly sector-agnostic, extending to renewable energy and private equity. His comprehensive experience in these areas ensures that our clients receive informed, strategic advice tailored to their specific needs. He is passionate about fostering strong client relationships and maintaining the high standards of service that define Isaacson & Partners.
Outside of his professional pursuits, Sergio enjoys exercising, playing padel tennis, playing with his kids, and being their taxi driver.
